Example: December 28, 2019. Our family boarded a plane to the southern part of the United States eager to see the Atlantic Ocean. When we finally arrived, it was time to take in the beauty. Picture it. The brisk sea covering your feet as your toes squish into the wet sand. The bright sun gleaming off the water creating pops of moving glitter. Sand castles as big as mountains. I kick off my flip flops as soon as we hit the sand and gaze at the dancing ocean. Colorful umbrellas line the shore. Music blares. Volleyballs thump. Children laugh. I unfold my pink and blue towel and stretch it across the hot sand. My kids, eager to get in the water, try to escape the sun screen slather. "Mom! Hurry up!" I quickly pad their tiny, freckled noses with blobs of white sunscreen and attempt to rub it in despite their wiggling bodies. "Okay, GO!" I shout. They sprint toward the sea, giggling along the way. Their tiny toes touch the icy water. Delightful yelps of joy follow. I sink into the sand and inhale the beauty around me.
